A Method for Suppressing Ground Clutter of Marching Vehicle-borne Radar
To cope with the issue of excessive clutter and false tracks during low-altitude search by marching vehicle-borne radar, a real-time clutter suppression method is proposed based on the trajectory of the platform. This method utilizes positioning and orientation equipment to obtain real-time information such as platform position, heading, and speed. First, in the signal processing module, a clutter-map based on position compensation in the geodetic coordinate system is constructed to achieve the establishment and iterative updating of the clutter-map. Then, derive the velocity variation law of fixed clutter relative to the platform's motion trajectory, establish a false track detection model based on time series Doppler velocity matching, and achieve the identification, marking, and elimination of clutter plots and false tracks. Compared with existing clutter-map methods, the proposed algorithm utilizes motion trajectory matching filtering to distinguish residual fixed ground clutter. The simulation results and experimentation prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
