Energy Supply Scheme for UAV Relay Base Station Based on Power over Fiber Technology
We propose an energy supply scheme for UAV relay base station based on power over fiber technology, and conduct preliminary experiments and field verification. The proposed scheme utilizes a 500m multimode fiber to transmit a high-power laser, combined with a photoelectric conversion module, to achieve a 2W power output from a single photocell in a 1*19 photocell array at the relay base station. The scheme is not subject to electromagnetic interference, and it can feed power to the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) relay base station 24 hours a day, which provides experimental support for breaking through the bottleneck of UAV energy supply in the smart grid.
