A Low-profile Ultra-Wideband Wide-Angle Scan Dual-Polarization Array Antenna
In this paper, an ultra-wideband dual-polarized banyan tree antenna (BTA) is designed and manufactured aim to the requirements of the radar, communication, electronic warfare multifunctional integration system. The antenna is simulated and optimized by commercial electromagnetic simulation software with two-dimensional master-slave boundary. The operating frequency band is 2-6GHz and the scanning range is <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\pm 45^{\circ}$</tex> in total space. A <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$16\times 16$</tex> array prototype is fabricated. The active- VSWR measured results of the antenna at 2-6GHz are blew 2.7. The antenna could scan 45° without grating lobe, and the cross-polarization is below -20 dB.
