The Impact of the Equalization Delay on Latency Performance in SR-DBA Scheme for TDM-PON

When discussing reducing the latency of TDM-PON, a minor yet crucial factor is often overlooked: the equalization Delay (EqD). In this paper, we theoretically analyze how the EQD value affects the upstream latency of PON, especially in the SR-DBA (Status Reporting Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation) scheme. We also conducted experiments to validate our conclusion.

In this paper, we theoretically analyze how the EQD value affects the upstream latency of PON, especially in the SR-DBA (Status Reporting Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation) scheme.
