Numerical Simulation of Broadband Ocean Ambient Noise in a Layered Medium
This study addresses the numerical simulation of broadband ocean ambient noise in a layered medium. Based on a broadband ocean ambient noise model, we have successfully achieved rapid simulation of ocean noise time series in a horizontally stratified medium. This method allows for the direct construction of time series of broadband noise received by individual hydrophone array elements at any spatial location. The simulation results demonstrate that the spatial correlation and spectral characteristics of the numerically generated ambient noise meet the required standards, confirming the effectiveness of this approach. Compared to existing numerical methods for simulating ocean ambient noise, our method enables fast simulation of broadband ocean noise time series in horizontally stratified media, making it practically applicable.
