A Multicore and Multimode Optical Demultiplexer for Orbital Angular Momentum-Based Spatial and Mode Division Multiplexing

We design a multicore and multimode optical demultiplexer based on multi-plane light conversion, and verify the feasibility of this scheme for orbital angular momentum-based (OAM) space division multiplexing. We fabricate a diffractive optical element with double-sided patterns on two quartz plates.

Abstract

We design a multicore and multimode optical demultiplexer based on multi-plane light conversion, and verify the feasibility of this scheme for orbital angular momentum-based (OAM) space division multiplexing. We fabricate a diffractive optical element with double-sided patterns on two quartz plates.
