Nanoplasmonic Speckle Illumination for Super-Resolved Imaging with Temperature-Induced Nonlinearity

We describe use of disordered nanoplasmonic speckles for super-resolved imaging. Temperature-induced nonlinearity that accompanies the excitation and localization of plasmonic near-fields is analyzed by opto-thermal theoretical modeling. Tip-based experimental measurements on thin-film and nanoscale disk array samples show excellent agreement with the theoretical data.

Abstract

We describe use of disordered nanoplasmonic speckles for super-resolved imaging. Temperature-induced nonlinearity that accompanies the excitation and localization of plasmonic near-fields is analyzed by opto-thermal theoretical modeling. Tip-based experimental measurements on thin-film and nanoscale disk array samples show excellent agreement with the theoretical data.
