Comb-Driven Micrometer-Scale I/Q Modulator for Tb/s O-Band Coherent DWDM Interconnects
We present the first O-band ultra-compact all-silicon coherent modulator for DWDM data-center interconnects, achieving 2 Tb/s/mm bandwidth density in 120-GBaud QPSK. Transmission exceeding 1 Tb/s over 5 km is demonstrated with a quantum-dot comb source, without dispersion compensation, enabling energy-efficient, scalable interconnects.
