Integrating Fuzzy Chance Constraints with Operational Mechanisms in Concentrated Solar Power Plants
The output of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants often fluctuates due to variations in the Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI). To address this issue, this paper focuses on analyzing the operational mechanisms of CSP plants and introduces a model that incorporates fuzzy chance constraints specifically tailored to these mechanisms; and finally, develops a day-ahead optimal scheduling model. The proposed model is validated by solving case studies, demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing the need for the reserve capacity and thereby saving costs. The numerical results highlight the potential of this approach to enhance the reliability and economic efficiency of CSP plants.
