Multiphysics Modeling of Frequency-Selective Surfaces with Thermally Thin Boundary Condition
Thermally thin boundary condition is applied in this paper to model the electromagnetic-thermal effect of frequency selective surfaces with thin metal structures. The thermal simulation entails a 3-D meshing of the metal films, while excessive elements would greatly increase the cost of electromagnetic simulation. We also introduced the domain decomposition method (DDM) to accelerate the computation of large-scale electromagnetic problems. Numerical results are validated on a conformal frequency-selective surface.
