A Periodic Leaky-Wave Antenna Based on Double Stubs Structure for Open Stopband Suppression

A periodic leaky-wave antenna based on double stubs structure for open stopband (OSB) suppression is investigated. The antenna is made up of six uniform units, each of which consists of double stubs structure. The simulation results demonstrate that this antenna exhibits excellent performance in suppressing OSB in the broadside direction. Within the frequency range of 6.3-11.2 GHz, a seamless beam scanning capability spanning from -58° to +55° is achieved, featuring a maximum gain level of 14.0 dBi.

Abstract

A periodic leaky-wave antenna based on double stubs structure for open stopband (OSB) suppression is investigated. The antenna is made up of six uniform units, each of which consists of double stubs structure. The simulation results demonstrate that this antenna exhibits excellent performance in suppressing OSB in the broadside direction. Within the frequency range of 6.3-11.2 GHz, a seamless beam scanning capability spanning from -58° to +55° is achieved, featuring a maximum gain level of 14.0 dBi.
