Abstract

An S-band <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$1\mathrm{x}5$</tex> WSS prototype covering 1470 to 1520 nm is experimentally demonstrated using off-the-shelf C band optical elements. The main optical performances are measured, showing comparable or even superior performance than commercial S-band Waveshapers.
