A Dual-Polarized Broadband Dipole Antenna for Base Stations
A dual-polarized broadband dipole antenna designed for base stations is introduced in this paper. The antenna functions within a operates spectrum from 1710MHz to 3600MHz, featuring a bandwidth of 1.89GHz and a peak gain of 10.9dBi. It is composed of a Printed Circuit Board(PCB) microstrip line base, the balun made up by two Γ-shaped feed strips, four square radiating patches with bottom parasitic stubs and an octagonal parasitic patch, extending the bandwidth and increasing the gain. The antenna exhibits a simple structure, excellent performance, low cost, and easy assembly. The proposed radiating element and the phased array base station antenna constructed from it have been mass-produced.
