Study on Electromagnetic-Thermal Coupling Effects of Frequency Selective Surfaces Using Multi-Physics Field Simulation
The Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) serves as a spatial filter that selectively interacts with electromagnetic waves. As the microwave power emitted by antennas increases, the electromagnetic thermal effects of FSS can no longer be overlooked. This paper investigates the electromagnetic thermal effects of two distinct FSSs with identical transmission characteristics, modeling and analyzing their temperature variations using multi-physics simulation. The findings reveal significant differences in the steady-state temperatures of FSSs with varying structures, as well as a strong positive correlation between temperature and surface electric field intensity.
