Time-Delay Signature Suppression of Chaotic Laser via Self-Feedback Anti-Symmetric Resonator
A scheme for generating chaotic output from a semiconductor laser while eliminating the time-delay signature (TDS) is proposed, leveraging the multi-path feedback provided by a self-feedback anti-symmetric coupling fiber ring resonator (SACFRR). In the experimental demonstration, we have achieved that the TDS can be suppressed to 0.03 by the SACFRR structure. The proposed structure is remarkably simple and easy to be implemented and integrated. The chaotic laser can offer an effective optical source for encrypted communications, chaotic Lidar, and random bit generation.
