Research on Reconfigurable Fabry-Perot Beam Tilted Antenna

A simple reconfigurable beam tilted antenna is designed based on Fabry-Perot structure in this paper. The reconfigurable characteristic is realized by properly designing the varactor diodes loaded partial reflective surface superstrate (PRS-Superstrate). The antenna could steer to 30-degree and 59-degree under the setting bias voltages. Simulation results also show that the antenna is with the good performance of high gain and low return loss at the working frequency.

Abstract

A simple reconfigurable beam tilted antenna is designed based on Fabry-Perot structure in this paper. The reconfigurable characteristic is realized by properly designing the varactor diodes loaded partial reflective surface superstrate (PRS-Superstrate). The antenna could steer to 30-degree and 59-degree under the setting bias voltages. Simulation results also show that the antenna is with the good performance of high gain and low return loss at the working frequency.
