A Simplification Method of 3-D Aeroengine Model for BCI Simulation
Advancements in commercial electromagnetic simulation software alongside affordable computational hardware now empower researchers to successfully conduct intricate electromagnetic simulations. However, in the field of aviation industry, the computational cost can be still unaffordable due to the complexity of electromagnetic simulation. Therefore, reduction of computational cost has become a research hotspot for which simplification of simulation model is one of the effective ways. The simplified simulation will be compared to the original simulation to ensure that the calculated result does not vary significantly due to the absence of experimental conditions. In this paper, lightning strike on an aeroengine is simulated by bulk current injection (BCI), the induced current and EM field of controller are analyzed. A simplification method of geometric structure, of which the reliability is guaranteed by contrast verification, is proposed for the electromagnetic simulation.
