Capacitive Power Transfer with Capacitive Coupler Analysis on Vertical and Horizontal Aluminum Plate

According to references on Capacitive Power Transfer(CPT), research has mainly focused on a few key points: 1. Designing the compensation network components; 2. Designing aluminum plates for capacitive coupling, including considerations of plate length, area, number, and spacing; 3. Comparing CPT with Inductive Power Transfer. This paper uses Ansys Maxwell 3D to simulate the aluminum plates needed for CPT, comparing their performance in horizontal and vertical placements. In Section IV, we use PSIM simulations to compare the waveforms of these different plate orientations under an LCL-LCL high-order compensation structure.
