Single-wavelength 400-Gbit/s Carrier Assisted Direct Detection Without Receiver Transfer Function Equalization for Optical Interconnections

We propose a simplified symmetric carrier assisted direct detection without receiver transfer function equalization enabled by a delay interferometer for carrier suppression only. The performance of the symmetric receiver is evaluated by single-wavelength 112-Gbaud 16-QAM OFDM signals with a 418-Gbit/s net rate.

Abstract

We propose a simplified symmetric carrier assisted direct detection without receiver transfer function equalization enabled by a delay interferometer for carrier suppression only. The performance of the symmetric receiver is evaluated by single-wavelength 112-Gbaud 16-QAM OFDM signals with a 418-Gbit/s net rate.
