Segmented Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Modulator for Photonic Digital-to-Analog Conversion and High-Level PAM Signal Generation

A photonic digital-to-analog converter based on a thin film lithium niobate platform using a segmented Mach-Zehnder modulator is proposed. 8-level pulse-amplitude modulated signals are generated with on-off keying drive up to 60Gbaud.
