Model Analysis of Transmission and Computing Resource Optimization for Internet of Vehicles Based on 5G and Edge Computing
The resource optimization of Internet of Vehicles (IoV) systems based on the integration of 5G and edge computing is one of the key technologies for achieving vehicle-road collaboration and internet-connected autonomous driving applications, which has garnered widespread attention from both academia and industry. This paper initially reviews and summarizes existing research on the optimization of transmission and computing resources in IoV systems based on 5G and Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC). Subsequently, it focuses on optimizing network utilization and the transmission and computing costs associated with task offloading under conditions of high-speed vehicle mobility and limited channel resources. A theoretical framework for the optimization problem and two approximate algorithms are proposed. The research findings presented in this paper contribute to the next phase research on transmission reliability and computing resource utilization of 5G+MEC IoV systems.
