Generation and Self-Healing Characteristics of Symmetric Power-Exponent-Phase Quasi-Bessel Beams
Symmetric power-exponent phase vortex beams (SPEPVBs) are a new type of noncanonical vortex beams that have been widely followed and studied due to their flexible control freedom. To further meet the practical application requirements, this paper generates symmetric power-exponent-phase quasi-Bessel beams (SPEQBBs) by reasonably adding the radial phase, which successfully improves the self-healing capability of SPEPVBs. The effects of different obstacle types, topological charge <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$m$</tex> and power index n, radial tuning parameter a, and diffraction distance on the self-healing performance of the two obstructed beams are also discussed. This study has potential applications in the field of free-space optical communication and optical trapping.
