Disseminated Cryptococcomas in an Immunocompetent Adult: A Unique Case Report
Disseminated cryptococcosis is a disease of the immunocompromised, primarily presenting with pulmonary and cutaneous diseases. We present a case of an immunocompetent 33-year-old male who presented with right calf swelling and progressive left spastic hemiparesis with headache and vomiting and was found to have multiple intracranial and musculoskeletal cryptococcomas on further evaluation. This is probably the first reported case in the world with multiple intracranial and co-existing musculoskeletal cryptococcomas in an immunocompetent individual.
