Remarkably short intermolecular Se⋯Se contacts in Ni(<scp>ii</scp>) diselenophosphinates: interplay of electrostatic and dispersion forces

Remarkably short non-covalent Se⋯Se contacts are revealed in Ni( ii ) diselenophosphinates, showing a new supramolecular pattern, in which two types of Se⋯Se attractive interactions are realized by either dispersive or electrostatic forces.
