Design and Implementation of a Campus Meteorological Station

This artical is an overview of the design and implementation of a campus meteorological station system utilizing the standard architecture of the Internet of Things (IoT), which encompasses the perception Layer, network Layer, and application Layer. Perception Layer consists of various meteorological sensors and soil sensors. These sensors collect meteorological and soil data within the campus through LoRa networks. Specifically, sensors such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and soil moisture are employed. Network Layer leverages DTU modules and 4G modules. These components are responsible for transmitting the data collected by the LoRa networks to the application Layer server. Application Layer is tasked with receiving, storing, and processing the data from the perception Layer. Additionally, this layer leverages Android-based displays to present the collected data in a user-friendly manner. Users can access real-time meteorological and soil information on their Android APP, facilitating better understanding and management of campus environmental conditions.
