Examining The Opinions Of Social Studies Teachers About The Flipped Learning Model: Case Study

It is a known fact that the use of technological tools and equipment in education is increasing daily. Therefore, using these technological tools by teachers in the classroom environment can improve the quality of education. In this respect, teachers working in schools should know the technological applications they will use in their lessons in or outside the classroom environment. This study investigated the opinions, suggestions, and thoughts of social studies teachers working in secondary schools about the flipped learning model, which has been frequently used in education in recent years. The study was conducted with ten social studies teachers working in the Erzurum city center. The study's case study design was preferred per the qualitative research approach. The data were collected through an open-ended interview form and analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the study, it was revealed that teachers thought that this learning model would be especially useful for students who were behind in the lessons, that it was an appropriate method to use in lessons and that they wanted to have information about this method. The research suggested that providing in-service training to teachers about these models would be appropriate.
