The Role Of Ayurvedic Remedies In Managing Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus: Evidence From A Case Study
Ayurveda’s holistic approach to managing diabetes mellitus (Prameha) integrates dietary modifications, herbal remedies, lifestyle adjustments, and therapeutic procedures. Treatments are tailored based on dosha imbalances, emphasizing reduced consumption of sweets and fatty foods while incorporating bitter herbs such as bitter melon and fenugreek. Stress management through yoga and other lifestyle modifications are integral to this approach. A case study illustrating Ayurvedic efficacy highlights improvements in blood sugar levels, symptom relief, and overall well-being without adverse effects. Collaborating with conventional medicine ensures comprehensive management, maintaining safety and effectiveness. Consulting healthcare providers before altering treatment regimens is crucial. Ayurveda’s integrated approach offers promising strategies for managing diabetes, addressing both symptoms and underlying imbalances to enhance quality of life.
