Social significance of Dushyant Kumar's poetry
Through his works, Dushyant Kumar communicates with the problems prevailing in his contemporary country and society and also makes a literary effort to resolve them. His social outlook is humanistic, hence it expresses a strong expression of reality and a sharp and sarcastic attack on the conservative system and the cycle of exploitation. As he himself has said, he does not write just to create a ruckus, i.e. just for fame, controversy or writing, but he wants a change in the current system. Therefore, he expresses the reality of the current country and society and takes creative initiatives to solve it. This is also because he has expressed what he saw, experienced and felt, that is why the reality expressed in his poetry is so effective. In his own words – 'The one whom I cover and spread out. I will recite that ghazal for you.
