Factors Influencing the Decision-Making of the Local Cultural Foundation's Performance Planning: Comparative Analysis of Groups of Administrators, Producers, and Artists
This study began with a question of how performance planners are affected in decisionmaking while performing their duties at the local cultural foundation. One hundred forty-one local cultural foundations established in Korea are implementing various projects to create a culture and arts ecosystem in the region, among which they are planning performances reflecting the characteristics of the region and providing opportunities for local people to enjoy various cultures and arts. This study aims to analyze the decision-making process of administrators, management, and practitioners in the performance planning of the local cultural foundation, respectively, and to study the ideal decisionmaking method. Many interviewers said that the performance planning of the local cultural foundation was not related to the needs of local governments or higher-level organizations. It was found that most of the respondents answered positively to the question of the unique value, artistry, and the importance of an innovative stage of the performing arts, indicating that the local cultural foundation recognizes the importance of protecting the value of art.Through this study, it was confirmed that the performance planning of the local cultural foundation should go forward with the goal of local people's cultural enjoyment.
