Major depression with psychosis accounts for 25% of depressed patients showing greater dysfunction than non-psychotic depression. History of trauma and sexual violence, especially during childhood, are risk factors for the development of depression. The said event is called an unwanted experience from the perspective of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which patients will try to avoid but actually causes the development of psychopathology that interferes with daily functioning. This study aims to test the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy intervention on individual with depression with psychotic through 6 main points of ACT to manage unwanted experiences. Results showed that there was a decrease in depression scores as measured by the Beck Depression Inventory from 44 which is the extreme depression category to a score of 16 which is a mild mood disorder. Aspects that are very helpful in the intervention process include the contact with present moment aspect with mindfulness, acceptance, values, and defusion.
