Impact of artificial intelligence on business transformation and efficiency: a contemporary analysis

This article reviews the literature on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application in small and medium-sized enterprises, focusing on how they can integrate AI to optimize business processes. Unlike applications (Apps.), AI enables machines to perform tasks that require human intelligence, such as learning and decision-making. The integration of AI into applications has revolutionized technology, enabling customization and efficiency in services. AI offers benefits such as personalized recommendations, virtual assistants, voice recognition, and language translation. Additionally, key authors are mentioned who provide foundational theoretical frameworks for understanding AI. The adoption of AI in small Mexican businesses presents challenges such as technology investment, data privacy, and workforce transformation. However, AI can drive efficiency and competitiveness for these companies. Ethical and social concerns are also addressed.
