Dual Active Bridge Converter For EV Charging Applications
Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular as a greener form of transportation. However, their general acceptance is still constrained by several variables, including the effectiveness and accessibility of charging infrastructures. There are various methods for charging batteries, especially using efficient power electronic converters. We are using a Dual Active Bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter. Due to its ability to operate at high power levels, at high efficiency, and bidirectional features, the DAB converter is a potential technology for EV charging. The DAB converter’s behavior, key features, and control mechanism for electric vehicle (EV) charging applications are all thoroughly simulated using PLECS, and results are presented.
