A 24-27GHz Broadband High Linearity Low Noise Amplifier with Small Area

This paper presents a broadband high linearity low noise amplifier (LNA) operated in the 24-27GHz frequency band, a range essential for contemporary wireless communication systems. The LNA consisted of a single-stage differential cascode amplifier, neutralization capacitances, RC feedback networks, inter-stage inductors and transformer-based matching networks. These components were optimally co-designed to achieve high gain exceeding 13dB, low noise figure below 4.3dB, and superior linearity of greater than −6dBm. The amplifier also maintained excellent in-band gain and noise flatness and robust reliability across power supply and temperature variations, thus satisfying the stringent requirements of advanced communication standards. Due to the single-stage design, the core area was only 0.076mm2.
