Hardware Power Consumption and Thermal Management of Two’s Complement on Zynq Board
In the time of growing need for energy-efficient digital systems, lowering power consumption in communication circuits would help to reach sustainable, green communication. This work attempts to solve the energy limit issue in digital circuits by stressing the execution of a unique one-of-a-kind operation on a Zynq FPGA board. First stressing power economy, the suggested architecture provides the best performance in the execution of fundamental mathematical operations. Reflecting the system's energy-conscious approach, the design revealed a 1.599 watts total power consumption throughout testing. Furthermore under control was thermal management; a thermal margin found at 41.6°C helped to keep the system within safe operating limits free from too much heat generation. Using only 4.0% I/O, the board was effectively allocating its resources to generate the necessary capacity. Stressing the requirement of hardware optimization in constructing sustainable digital and communication systems, this work highlights the possibilities of fundamental operations, including two’s complement, in assisting to contribute to energy-efficient design methods on FPGA platforms.
