Ku-Band High-Efficiency 1-Bit Transmissive Programmable Metasurface
In this paper, we present a transmissive metasurface integrated with a programmable polarization converter across the entire Ku-band, exhibiting the advantages of wide bandwidth and high efficiency. Hence, functionalities including near-field wave-front constructions and far-field beamforming can be implemented by proper phase distributions and switched in real time. The properties of meta-particles and the functions of metasurface are both investigated by employing numerical and full-wave simulations, which can be verified by the excellent results, indicating the huge potential applications in wireless communication, radar sensing, and imaging.
