An Efficient Method for Solving Periodic Structures Problems with Periodic Green's Function and Simplified Prism Vector Basis Functions

A method with periodic Green's function (PGF) and simplified prism vector (SPV) basis function (PGF-SPV) is proposed for large periodic arrays with thin dielectric layer. The advantage of this method is that, using PGF can reduce the analysis target to one element and further reduce memory consumption compared to VIE-SPV or VSIE-SPV. Some numerical examples show the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.

Abstract

A method with periodic Green's function (PGF) and simplified prism vector (SPV) basis function (PGF-SPV) is proposed for large periodic arrays with thin dielectric layer. The advantage of this method is that, using PGF can reduce the analysis target to one element and further reduce memory consumption compared to VIE-SPV or VSIE-SPV. Some numerical examples show the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.
