A Cylinder Resonator Used for Testing Z-Axis Dielectric Properties of Substrate Material

Substrate materials are widely used in aerospace, electronics and other industries. This paper uses the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{TM}_{\mathbf{0n0}}$</tex> of the cylinder resonator as the test modes with operating frequency from 1 to 10 GHz. It can be applied to test the dielectric properties of substrate materials on the z-axis. And the cavity is mounted on the linear rail sliding module to easily load the samples. This paper uses the Rogers substrate as the test object, the relative dielectric constant and the tangent angle of the loss are obtained by the field matching method. And the test results fit well to the reference value curve.
