A Simulation Model of Control System for a Lightweight Space Active Mirror
This paper presents a conceptual design for the hardware implementation of a space Active Optics mirror assembly with active supports, allowing for precise shape and pointing control. The design includes actuator stacks arranged within the back ribs of the lightweight mirror, along with collocated force sensors that monitor changes in internal transfer forces, facilitating the reconstruction of the mirror's shape. Additionally, a fundamental control strategy is proposed for the hierarchical control of the mirror assembly, aimed at future large space telescopes.
