Spectroscopical Analysis and Study of Electrical and Magnetic Behaviours of Natural Magnetic Minerals in Rock Crystals

Rocks are the natural source of most elements and minerals. Rocks and Minerals are inseparable. When the Rock Crystals are subjected to proper investigation, many elements and minerals can be identified and studied. The area of investigation of this research article is Velimalai Hills, located in the southern horn of India. The Velimalai Hills is the storage spot for many metallic, non-metallic, magnetic minerals and trace elements. But, no great mineralogical studies or surveys have been done along this Hill range. This study is the first to analyze the presence of different minerals in these rocks. The powdered rock materials are subjected to X-ray diffraction. The presence of Magnetite, Hematite, Ilmenite also other minerals are identified and analyzed. This paper gives data on the presence of major and minor minerals in rock materials at various levels of quality. The magnetic and electric behaviors of naturally available materials are verified by the Hysteresis behaviour of the material and the application of Ohm’s law. Hysteresis loss is a type of energy loss that occurs in ferromagnetic materials. The alternating current changes force the molecules in the core to move to change their alignment in the proper direction. The work done by the magnetic force against the internal friction of the molecular magnets produces heat, which results in energy dissipation. The energy loss associated with hysteresis is proportional to the area of the hysteresis loop.
