Design of an X-Band Circularly Polarized Luneburg Lens Antenna
In this letter, a circularly polarized Luneburg lens antenna is proposed. The whole dielectric lens is made up of many small unit cells printed and stacked, each of which is anisotropic in both horizontal and vertical directions. Through the action of the lens, the 45° linearly polarized incident wave can be converted into a circularly polarized transmitted wave. In this design, seven feeders are arranged on the equatorial plane of the lens to achieve ± 60° beam coverage, and each beam has a good consistency.
