A Ground Application System for On-Orbit Servicing Satellite Based on OODA Loop
The ground application system is a significant component of a space program, which could provide the services of mission planning, satellite data processing, scene displays, et al. Due to the separation between the uplink operation control and the downlink data processing, the current ground application system could hardly follow the On-Orbit Servicing (OOS) satellite's application requirements, including the variety task types, complicated application scenario and closely interrelationship between the satellite and the ground. Based on the OODA (Observation, Orientation, Decision, Action) loop, a new ground application system for the OOS satellite is proposed. By using the reasoning and self-decision techniques, the OOS satellite operational requirements are automatically generated from the data processing results, which makes a close-loop between the satellite and the ground. The feasibility of the proposed ground application system is verified by a practical OOS space program.
