Continuous Frequency-Scanning Polarization-Rotating Antenna
This paper proposes a polarization-rotating meta-surface antenna. The metasurface consists of two metal strips. By integrating the radiation coupling excitation mechanism of the I-shaped linear polarization slot in the middle of the ground plane, the continuous polarization rotating ability with the dynamic change of frequency is demonstrated. The continuous polarization rotation of 65° is realized in the 902 to 928 MHz frequency band, and the broadband is 7.1%, covering the frequency range from 865 to 930 MHz. This innovation breaks the conventional limitation of passive metasurface elements, which are incapable of achieving autonomous continuous polarization rotation. It further confirms the practical value and technical innovation of metasurface antennas. This proposed metasurface significantly contributes a new avenue for future applications in intelligent wireless communication and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
