Accelerating DGTD-based Field-Circuit Coupling Simulations Using CUDA
This paper investigates the acceleration of Discontinuous Galerkin Time-Domain (DGTD) simulations for field-circuit coupled problems using CUDA on GPUs. We apply the CUDA-accelerated DGTD method to compute the Sparameter of a periodic butterfly antenna array with embedded RLC circuits. The results are validated against CST Studio Suite, showing good agreement. Compared to CPU-based parallel computations using OpenMP+AVX, the CUDA-accelerated version achieves significant speedup, demonstrating the potential of GPU parallelization for efficient DGTD simulations of complex EM systems with field-circuit interactions.
