e-KYC-based Privacy Preserving Model using Smart Contract on Private Blockchain Network
Nowadays, if people in Thailand wish to transfer more than 50,000 baht, they must verify their identity online through facial recognition. Many banks in Thailand have adopted e-KYC face authentication to confirm user identities; however, this has led to various issues, including cyber threats and privacy violations. A facial image is considered personal data protected by the PDPA; thus, we propose an e-KYC-based Privacy Preserving model for this purpose. This research aims to safeguard data privacy by utilizing blockchain and smart contracts. The proposed model effectively preserves data privacy while facilitating e-KYC identification on blockchain networks. This pioneering paper addresses both objectives within a single framework. Our experiments demonstrate superior results compared to existing systems.
