A Dual-band Eight-Element Terminal MIMO Antenna with Decoupling Structure
This paper reports a dual-band eight-element multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna for 5G N77 band (3300-4200MHz) application. The proposed dual-band MIMO antenna consists of four dual-antenna arrays, two T -shaped slot and two T -shaped open-circuited stubs. Each dual-antenna array consists of two dual-band dual-branch monopole antennas, two lumped LC matching networks, and a neutral line. The NL can provide decoupling path for the bottom branch in the first band. Then, the NL and the bottom branches of monopole antennas constitute a parasitic structure and can provide decoupling for the top branches of monopole antennas in the second band. The LC networks can improve the impedance matching. Experimental results show that the proposed dual-band MIMO antenna can achieves return loss over 10dB, isolation better than 16dB and envelope correlation coefficient less than 0.07 over 3.21~3.35GHz and 3.62~3.96GHz.
