A Low Complexity Optimization Algorithm for Activating Antenna Number for Energy Efficiency in Massive MIMO System
In this paper, a novel algorithm for finding the optimal number of activated antennas is proposed to enhance the energy efficiency of Massive MIMO systems. By transforming the fractional optimization problem into a subtraction problem and adopting a dual-layer iterative approach, the optimal solution to the problem can be quickly obtained. Finally, simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only possesses the advantage of low complexity but also can determine the optimal number of activated antennas to maximize the system energy efficiency.
