Simulation of Electromagnetic Scattering From a Target Above a Rough Surface Based on IEM-PO
In this paper, the electromagnetic scattering from a two-dimensional perfectly conducting (PEC) object above a large-scale one-dimensional rough surface under Horizontal (H) polarization is studied by using an efficient hybrid method combining the integral equation method and the physical optics method (IEM-PO). In the numerical simulations, the bistatic normalized radar cross section (NRCS) of this composite model is calculated by using this method, and the results are compared with those of the method of moment (MoM). The results show that the hybrid IEM-PO method has better calculation accuracy and can greatly reduce the computing time.
