An Instrumentation System for a Laboratory-Scale Wind Generation Unit
This paper presents an experimental evaluation of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) under various disturbances, including wind gusts, turbulence, and load variations, aiming to investigate their effects on the generator’s voltage, current, and vibration. To perform the analysis, an instrumentation system and a monitoring interface were developed to oversee and control the experimental test bench. Additionally, a motor speed control system was implemented to simulate different wind profiles acting on the generator. The results clearly highlight the impact of these disturbances on generation stability and efficiency, with particular emphasis on voltage, current, and vibration.
