Porous Silicone-Based Stretchable Triboelectric Nanogenerator For Wearable Self-Powered Biomotion Monitoring
Expanding the surface area of triboelectric materials is crucial for enhancing the output performance of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) and is a key challenge for future versatile applications. Herein, we introduce a novel porous silicone-based stretchable triboelectric nanogenerator (PSS-TENG) utilizing chloroform, designed for wearable self-powered biomotion monitoring. The triboelectric output is significantly enhanced with increased porosity, attributed to the enlarged contact area, which generates additional charges on the porous surface and increases the surface charge density of the friction materials. We fabricated a thin, skinintegrated stretchable TENG for wearable self-powered biomotion monitoring. Our experimental findings reveal that the PSS-TENG achieves high power output (4.4 mW), sensitivity ($51.4 \mathrm{~V} / \mathrm{KPa}$), and stretchability (230%). This innovative device offers a promising solution for continuous, real-time biomotion monitoring, paving the way for advancements in self-powered wearable technology and personalized healthcare.
