Coil Vibration Type Electromagnetic Energy Harvester For Vehicle Vibration Energy Harvesting

An electromagnetic energy harvester capable of harvesting energy from vehicle vibrations is proposed. The harvester comprises of a fixed magnet and a moving coil connected to a polymer spring, which allows the harvester to be applied to various locations inside the vehicles that contain a significant number of ferromagnetic materials. The spring is designed to be easily deformed in response to low-frequency and low-acceleration vibrations that typically occur in vehicles. The harvester can harvest energy in response to even the slightest vibrations with an acceleration of 0.05 g, and can also store the energy harvested from vehicle vibrations to operate a wireless sensors.
